CAU Signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Agricultural Bank of China

On June 11, the signing ceremony of Overall Strategic Cooperative Agreement between China Agricultural University (CAU) and Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) was held in the lecture hall of the New Library at CAU east campus. CAU President SUN Qixin and ABC President ZHANG Qingsong attended and addressed at the ceremony. ZHANG Dongjun, Vice Chairman of University Council, and ZHAN Dongsheng, ABC Vice President, signed the Agreement on behalf of each side. CAU Vice President XIN Xian presided the ceremony.



CAU and ABC established strategic cooperation relationship with the signing of the Agreement. On the basis of regular financial business, the two parties will continuously expand business scope and deepen their cooperation in multiple fields including smart campus construction, poverty alleviation, and education.



SUN Qixin extended a warm welcome to ZHANG Qingsong and his delegation, and expressed appreciation for the long-term support from ABC. He noted the profound friendship and fruitful cooperation between CAU and ABC. President SUN said that CAU has been fully implementing the spirit of President XI Jinping’s letter to all domestic agricultural universities, strengthening moral education and talent cultivation, assuming the responsibility of boosting agricultural prosperity, and bringing out more scientific and technological achievements. CAU will continue focusing on the 5+1 Project, promoting the construction of a Double First-Class university as well as a world-class university with Chinese characteristics and agricultural characteristics. Both CAU and ABC are undertaking the mission of solving “three rural issues” and achieving rural revitalization. Taking the signing of this agreement as a new beginning, both parties will further contribute to promoting the modernization of agriculture and rural area.


 

 

ZHANG Qingsong highlighted the historical significance and great achievements of CAU. He noted the complementary advantages of both sides in collaboration, and ABC’s continuous commitment in the partnership with CAU in future development.


 


SUN and ZHANG also discussed topics in terms of talent cultivation and employment support.


 


Other attendees included CAU Director of President Office ZHOU Xufeng, Director of Finance Office ZHANG Shuyan, Director of Social Service Office DU Jinkun, Director of Information& Network Office CHEN Xin, Dean of Continuing Education College WU Haiqin,  and leaderships from ABC departments and branches.
