Open Positions of Senior & Junior Principal Investigators and Postdoctoral Fellows Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Food Nutrition and Human Health The Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Food Nutrition and Human Health (Center) has recently beenestablished by Beijing Municipal Governmentas part of the Strategyof Innovation-Driven Development. Jointly supported by China Agricultural University (CAU) and Beijing Technology and BusinessUniversity(BTBU),the Center will strive for original research excellence and leadership on food, nutrition and human health, andwill be operated by international research standardsunder thegovernance ofa highly elected International Academic Committee. To fulfill its mission, the Centeris enthusiastically inviting highly motivated and talented scientists of all ranks and all nationalities who conduct cutting-edge research inrelated areas to apply for over 100 open positions.
The Center is anchored for two areas of research excellence and world leadership: food nutrition and food safety for improving human health. A central mission isto build world-class platforms for both fundamental and translational research on healthy food development and processing.
The Centerconsists of three research platforms: Food Nutrition and Human Health, Food Safety, and Food Processing Technology. Each platform highlights multiple research areas.ThirtyseniorPIs will be recruitedto lead 30new Laboratories or Research teams that include junior PIs,Research Associates, and Postdoctoral Associates. Detailed position descriptions are outlined in Table 1 (attached file 1).
①Candidate should have a Ph.D. degree from a world top-tierUniversity, andshould abide by the academic integrity and scientific ethics policy.In principle,the successful candidate will be expected to commit to a full-timeemployment, and should be in good health with a preferred age of 55 years old or younger at the initial employment. ②The domestic applicant should hold a Full Professorship from a national leading University or Institute, and the overseas applicants should have achieved a rank of Assistant Professor or higher (or other equivalent job titles) at a top University or Institute.All applicants should have a minimal of two years’ experienceofresearch team management. ③The successful candidateshould be highly innovative, and has made significant contributionto his/her own field and achieved a high standing orbroad recognition in the international academic community.The candidate is expected to have an active and strong publication record as the first or corresponding author, with a cumulative impact factor of SCI papers during the past 10 years>40.Alternatively, the impact factor of at least onesingle paper is 10 or greater.However, the following types of candidates are exempted from these impact factor requirements and are given a priority of consideration: National “1000Plan”Talents, the first or corresponding authors of papers published inworld-leading journals during the past 10 years, Academicians (e.g., China, USA, Europe, and Australia), and Yangtze River Scholar Professors.
①Candidate should have a Ph.D. degree from a world top-tier Universityandshould abide by the academic integrity and scientific ethics policy.The successful candidate shouldtake a full-time appointment, and be in good health with an age of 45 years old or younger. ②The successful candidate should havebeen an internationally-recognized scientistin a special research area and have published10 or more SCI papers as the first or corresponding author during the last10 years.Alternatively, at least onepaper’s impact factoris5 or higher. ③National “1000Plan”Youth Talentsor applicants who have published in world-leading journalsduring the last 10 years will be given favorable consideration.

①Compensation consists of basic salary,bonus, and benefits. ⑴The annual salaryfor full-time Senior PIis offered to be highly competitive with thatof the world top-tierUniversities, and commensurate with experience and academicaccomplishments. ⑵The monthly salary is 150,000 RMBforthe part-time Senior PI. The successful candidateshoulddevote at least 3 months each year in the Center. ⑶ The annual salary is450,000 – 800,000 RMB for the Junior PI. ⑷The annual salary is250,000 – 400,000 RMB for Postdoctoral Fellows upon qualifications. ⑸ The salary can be negotiated for exceptional candidates. ②The PI appointments will be offered for 5 consecutive years and all successful candidates should sign such contract accordingly. Reappointment will be contingent upon academic evaluations by international peers in the candidate’s field. Qualified candidatesare eligible for tenure-trackresearch positions atChina Agricultural Universityor Beijing Technology and BusinessUniversity. ③The centerwill provide fully-equipped laboratory in Beijing for PIs. ④Other benefits will be offered according to the national human resource policy.
